As a developer in a corporate environment, it's highly desirable to be able to interact with Active Directory. This presentation focuses on how to accomplish this in a native linux environment by slotting together all the pieces of technology, dodging the "gotcha's", and where to look for problems. 10 pieces of silver can buy you seamless authentication for your web applications (no login dialogues), and a PHP interface to interact with Active Directory.

I’ve been a web programmer for over 10 years. My first paid job was to create an e-commerce store for a computer reseller at the beginning of the dot com boom. I originally began life as an ASP developer, but have also worked with Java and am now a PHP developer. I specialise in business systems and integrating systems that probably shouldn’t be integrated.
I have completed a Ba Science (Computer Technology) at James Cook University, Townsville.
I am the creator and maintainor of the adLDAP project.
