Grails is a framework for agile web development using Groovy and Java. It leverages the "prefer convention over configuration" paradigm and bundles a stack of best of breed Java technologies including Spring, Hibernate, Sitemesh, Quartz and others. The flexible, dynamic nature of Groovy ties all of that together in a way that developers will find both exteremely powerful but also refreshingly simple to deal with.
